Demi Demons - A group project

Demi Demons was my first major group project where I collaborated with several artists and audio engineers in the capacity of the sole programmer on the project as well as the main game designer, while also being the primary project manager, doing time schedules, ensuring that those who needed help on their tasks got it and made decisions on important milestones and dead lines.

What I learned

As this was my first major group project where I was the primary manager and sole programmer, it became a highly formative learning experience. I steered the project through various challenges, including social friction between team members, while ensuring that timelines were met. This experience taught me valuable social skills that have been useful in other group projects. It also helped me develop the ability to identify issues between team members—such as misunderstandings or tension—without explicit knowledge of them, and to navigate these challenges effectively for the successful completion of the project.
